Tire-derived fuels (TDF)

Tire-derived fuels (TDF) are composed of shredded scrap tires from passenger cars and trucks, it typically used as a supplement to traditional fuels such as coal or wood to be burned in concrete kilns, power plants, paper mills or dedicated tire-to-energy facilities.

TDF has calorific value between 7.500 kcal/kg up to 8.000 kcal/kg or 13,000 Btu/lb up to 15,000 Btu/lb and low sulfur content.
